This chair was in danger of finding it's final resting place in the local trash dump.
But I saw beyond the outward appearance and recognized the potential.
With a little love, a lot of staples and paint, the once abandoned chair has found a new home in my living room!
I choose the fabric in honor of Africa! Plus. I think I heard animal print is so in right now!!
SO CUTE!! love it.

Oh My, I love it1 The color you chose with the print is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis chair is gorgeous! I have a question: How did you upholster the back?? I have a small child's chair that is shaped exactly like this one, and I'm not sure how to go about recovering the back of it. I know you can get upholstery tacks and do it that way, but I was curious as to how you did it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Holly,
ReplyDeleteActually, I did this a really weird way. I took a very thin square piece of wood, cut to fit the back and covered that with the fabric. Then I just screwed it into the back of the chair on the 4 "corners". You can see the screws if you are really looking for them, but they mostly blend in. I'm sure there are many other ways to do this that work a lot better, but that's what worked for me.
Hope your chair turns out great!
